Solo project mid 2020, Minneapolis, MN.
This was an online video series that highlights different dance genres from all over the continent. We were featured as Hoop Dancers to kick off the 2nd season.

Since our social norms were disrupted during the time of COVID-19, as dancers we simply refuse to stop dancing. Check out this amazing collaborative project "Dear Dancer: If Cities Could Dance" embracing social distancing with some amazing Spoken Word by Chinaka Hodge.
In 2019 we were selected among hundreds of candidates to bring our message/art/craft to the TEDx stage. It was an honor to be recognized and respected for our expertise and encompassing knowledge of our Indigenous cultures and its value in these modern times.
As dancers we are often asked to perform on all sorts of stages.. the wear and tear on my traditional moccasins was hard to keep up with and constantly repair. "So I (Micco) made these! Titled "Dusk and Dawn" , which actually depicts the sky/time/constellations present at the moment of my birth!"
I finished one before having the thought of doing a "time-lapse" and it took me about a week (along with photography/editing). Enjoy!
Here's a quick look into what we do!!
